Brescia Tourism Promotion: Munich Workshop & International Media Tours
Meetings between Brescia operators and German tour operators. Two events organized by Pro-Brixia, in Munich and within our province. Following the press conferences in Berlin and Brussels and the subsequent participation in two major trade fairs held in these capitals, the tourism promotion project developed by Pro-Brixia in partnership with APT, the Hotel Association, and Asshotel Confesercenti continues to grow. The next event is a workshop scheduled to take place in Munich on May 8th.
Workshop in Munich and promotional activities
The event targets Brescia-based professionals across tourism segments such as mountain, lake, culture, enogastronomy, etc., aiming to foster direct contact and negotiations among operators. It will feature 40 Bavarian tour operators and travel agencies, selected by Enit Munich on behalf of Pro-Brixia. These meetings will take place in the conference rooms of a city-center hotel, where Brescia representatives from associations, promotion consortia, golf and thermal centers, will have the opportunity to review and discuss prices or simply explore updates on our tourism offerings.
The importance of this initiative lies in providing a private, dedicated environment where operators can meet without the noise of a public exhibition, creating ideal conditions for in-depth discussions on various aspects of each economic negotiation. The sessions will be conducted in a professional and effective manner.
Preparations and pre-market meetings
Before the event, a briefing will be held with the Director of Enit Munich, Giorgio Biletta, to analyze the characteristics of the German market overall, with particular emphasis on Bavaria. This market, which shares deep historical ties with Brescia and its lakes, includes numerous international competitors.
Subsequently, the meetings will commence, culminating in a convivial dinner. The dishes served will reflect Brescia’s culinary traditions, and some German journalists will also be invited. Through Pro-Brixia’s organizational efforts, all company profiles will be exchanged beforehand to streamline the process.
Presentation of local services and offers
The novelty consists of presenting, in a new and integrated form, the Santa Giulia Museum, Brescia’s golf courses, local winemakers, hoteliers, thermal spa offerings, and sports centers in lakes, mountains, and Brescia city. For information and participation, contact the Pro-Brixia Internal Promotion Service (tel 030.3514208).
An additional event within our province is the educational tour titled “Art and Culture in Brescia,” scheduled from April 26 to 29. This marks the first of four guided visits, including Brescia’s mountains, enogastronomy — aimed at European journalists — and lakes, which will feature a group of Japanese journalists.
At the end of April, 18 journalists from Germany, England, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, and Switzerland will spend several days in our province, visiting the Vittoriale, Sirmione, Brescia city, and the museums of Santa Giulia and the Weapons Museum at the Castello.
The initiative is promoted by Pro-Brixia in collaboration with important organizations such as Enit, Alitalia, and the Regione Lombardia, based on a program prepared by the Brescia APT. Unlike the workshop, which has a purely economic focus, the educational aims at promotion and targets journalists and the general public.
Associazione Albergatori and Asshotel Confesercenti have secured the involvement of local operators, who see this project as an effective tool for tourism and economic promotion.
