Brescian Judges and Lawyers Cycle from Garda to Mantua

Continuing a a tradition started five years ago, Brescian judges and lawyers who belong to the cycling club “Jus sport Brescia” once again faced off on their bikes along a scenic route between Garda and Mantua.

The route and participants

Under the watchful eye of Giuseppe Cusimano, who managed the event from the command ship on the flagship, Roberto Spanò, Bruno Giampaoli, Giuliano Fontanesi, Raffaele Dal Porto, Vittorio Minervini, Stefano Santi, Giuseppe Pesce, Giovanni Redaelli, Stefano Marchioni, Francesco Bresciani, Arturo Gussago, Renzo Nardin, Fausto Fondrieschi, Claudio Bonomi, Silvia Vezzini, Emanuele Corli, Davide Maisetti and Angelo Manatrizio (assisted by team doctor Giorgio Zanacchi and team manager Walter Bergamaschi) competed from Solferino to the Shrine of the Grazie (near Mantua) and back.

Corli took the lead on the final ramp up to the Civic Tower of Solferino, finishing a wheel ahead of Santi, Bresciani, Giampaoli, and Pesce.

The route and technical participation

The group was supported during the race by Aldo Balasso, mechanic of Jus sport. A former member of the Italian amateur cycling national team from 1965 to 1967, his palmarès includes 87 amateur victories and a twelfth-place finish at the 1965 World Championships in Spain.

The social gathering and awards

After the race, during the convivial gathering, Cusimano awarded a recognition to Judge Spanò (a former player for the magistrates’ national football team), as well as to Minervini, Del Porto, Balasso, Zanacchi, and Bergamaschi, the mastermind behind the organization.
