Brescian Waters and Sustainability: an AA Rating for Water Management

Acque Bresciane has recently reaffirmed its sustainability rating of AA, according to the assessment by Cerved Rating Agency, for the third consecutive year. With a score of 76.8, an improvement from 2023, the company stands out among the best in the water management sector, as only 8% of water utilities have achieved this level. Since 2019, Acque Bresciane has embarked on a journey to enhance its environmental and social performance, aligning with sustainability (ESG) goals through concrete actions. President Pierluigi Toscani emphasized the significance of the results achieved and the transparency in corporate management. Throughout 2024, the company has implemented a five-year Innovation Plan that includes projects for cybersecurity and the use of artificial intelligence to optimize customer services. Additionally, a Sustainability Linked Loan has been activated with specific targets for reducing water losses and greenhouse gas emissions, thereby highlighting its ongoing commitment to sustainability and the well-being of the communities served.
