The national assembly of Fiepet Confesercenti, held today in Rome, saw the reappointment of Emilio Zanola and the addition of Andrea Mattia Maggioni to the Executive Committee. These representatives from Brescia are committed to supporting the restaurant and catering sectors, which are essential for commerce and tourism in the Brescia and Lake Garda areas. During the meeting, the national presidency of Giancarlo Banchieri was also confirmed, highlighting the increasing importance of this sector in the post-pandemic economic recovery. The restaurant industry continues to prove itself as a vital engine of the Italian economy, with Brescia boasting 7,626 active businesses in the sector, contributing to a production value that has risen from 549 million euros in 2021 to 907 million euros in 2023. Lombardy remains a leader with over 57,000 businesses and a production value of 9.5 billion euros in 2023.
