Brescia’s Federalberghi Hails Fantini’s National Council Appointment to Promote Brescia Tourism
Alessandro Fantini has been appointed to the Federalberghi National Council, a move supported by Federalberghi Brescia. The appointment is described as a recognition of his work for Brescia’s hotel businesses and for promoting Brescia’s tourism; Fantini says he will take the role with responsibility and will represent the sector nationally, stressing that tourism is undergoing a transformation and that competitiveness, investments, training, and quality of hospitality must be addressed in a coordinated way.
The inclusion of a Brescia representative strengthens the province’s role in the national tourism landscape. Brescia now counts 714 hotels, and in 2025 the region surpassed 12 million tourism presences, making Lombardy the top leisure destination and the second-largest business destination after Milan, with tourism accounting for about 25% of the regional GDP. Federalberghi Brescia welcomed the appointment, stating it will bring local priorities and projects to the national stage.
