A tribute to Angio Zane will take place in Salò with the screening of the film Brigliadoro, a black-and-white work filmed in 1959 that tells the adventures of two boys and their extraordinary horses. The event will be held at MuSa, where Vice President Elena Ledda will introduce the film. Admission is free until seats are filled. Brigliadoro is part of Zane’s production dedicated to children’s cinema, set in the valleys of Toscolano and Gargnano, as well as in the Marocche area, on the Trentino Lake Garda.
The “Film and Directors” series will host this screening, which foreshadows the themes of spaghetti westerns, with the landscapes of Lake Garda transformed into typical scenes of Texas and Wyoming. Zane, a partisan during the war and known for his cinematic works such as “Ribelli. Brigata Perlasca,” has left an indelible mark on the local cultural landscape. The series will conclude on Saturday, the 23rd, with the film Educazione fisica by Salò director Stefano Cipani.
