A burglary incident has raised concerns among residents of Cavriana, where a couple of apartment thieves was caught trying to break into a home in the Pieve/Piantume area. The two criminals had just completed another theft, stealing a rifle stored in a safe, when they were spotted by the owner’s son. Alerted by the situation, the young man chased after the thieves, managing to capture footage of them with his smartphone.
The video of the chase was later shared on social media to warn the local community. Law enforcement is currently investigating the incident, but the footage does not allow for easy identification of the thieves, as they were wearing ski masks and dark clothing while escaping by climbing over a fence and disappearing among the surrounding trees.
