A 50-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday afternoon near Calcinato while transporting over a kilogram of cocaine on his motorcycle. The intervention by the Carabinieri from the Operational and Radiomobile Unit of the Desenzano del Garda Company was prompted by the individual’s nervous behavior, which raised the soldiers’ suspicions. During the check, the man handed over a folding knife and was subsequently found in possession of a brick of cocaine weighing 1.133 kg, along with more than 1,700 euros in cash, believed to be proceeds from drug trafficking.
After being held at the Company headquarters until late at night, the arrested individual was transferred to the Brescia prison at the request of the local Prosecutor’s Office, where he awaits trial for the charges against him.
