The 3rd edition of the 15k Calva Run Trail, organized by the F.O. Running Team led by Osvaldo Faustini, witnessed excellent participation despite adverse weather conditions, with rain and mud characterizing the course. Approximately 320 athletes lined up for the main competition and 240 for the recreational walk, confirming the growing interest in the event, as highlighted by the mayor of Calvagese della Riviera, Dr. Maria Teresa Comini. This race also served as the second stage of the 1st Gran Prix Felter Costantino and awarded provincial trail titles for the absolute category.
Among the day’s standout performers, Cesare Maestri claimed first place in the men’s race with a time of 50:29, followed by Pietro Sonzogni and Stefano Goffi. In the women’s category, Sara Bottarelli dominated with a time of 58:21, finishing ahead of Cristina Cotelli and Nives Carobbio, all of whom were also awarded the absolute provincial title. The event also featured the presence of Salvatore Bettiol, who has been associated with the organization of the event since 1985, reflecting the spirit of camaraderie that characterizes these competitions.
