Camaldolese Psalm School in Lent Focuses on Reflection and Holy Week

The Camaldolese community of San Giorgio Hermitage organizes the Psalm School on Sundays during Lent. The sessions, which begin today, will follow the usual three-part format: the first, led by a brother from the community, dedicated to lectio divina; the second consisting of a period of silence and personal meditation; the liturgical conclusion with the Vespers celebration (oratio – contemplatio). The schedule is as follows: biblical reading at 4:00 p.m., silence at 4:40 p.m., and Sunday Vespers at 5:00 p.m. During Holy Week, on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, a lectio will be offered at 5:00 p.m. in preparation for the Easter Triduum.
