Canottieri Garda Salò Wins Fourth 29er National Regatta at Marina di Carrara
The 4th Italian 29er National Regatta took place from June 11 to 14, 2026, in Marina di Carrara, with Emilia Salvatore and Pietro Rizzi of Canottieri Garda Salò winning the event overall and in the mixed U19 category. After four wins in as many races, the duo finished first in the absolute standings and mixed U19 with 27 points.
The competition included 34 crews and 11 races in total. Francesco Colotto and Jacopo Gasparotti (home team) placed second with 35 points, followed by Bianca Marchesini and Lucia Finato with 37. The event was organized by Club Nautico Marina di Carrara on behalf of the Italian Sailing Federation (FIV), but no racing was held on Sunday due to lack of wind; earlier days featured winds of 7 to 9 knots with challenging shifts, and the race committee issued 11 Black Flags (BFD) for early starts.
