A new incident of gasoline scam has been reported in recent hours in the Valle Sabbia, where a young man residing in the province of Brescia attempted to deceive drivers by asking for money to refuel. The method of the scam, already known in the area and similar to what occurred in Vestone last March and in Salò in recent days, prompted a citizen to alert the Local Police. This intervention led to the immediate flight of the scammer, who was driving the car that was supposedly out of fuel.
Thanks to the description provided and the surveillance from local cameras, the officers managed to intercept him in Sabbio Chiese and apprehend him in Vestone. During the search, 750 euros hidden in a fanny pack were found, believed to be proceeds from the illegal activity. Furthermore, the inspection of the vehicle revealed that not only was the car not out of gasoline, but it also contained an empty fuel canister. The man has been reported for fraud, and investigations are ongoing to determine if there are any additional incidents related to his fraudulent behavior.
