Castiglione delle Stiviere: Weekend of Police Checks by Carabinieri. On Saturday, May 17, the streets of the city witnessed an increased presence of law enforcement due to a special control operation conducted by the Carabinieri, as part of a targeted public safety plan. The initiative, coordinated by the Prefect of Mantova, Dr. Roberto Bolognesi, involved eight officers who patrolled the area throughout the evening, focusing on both urban zones and public venues.
During the operation, 12 vehicles were checked and 55 individuals were identified; the officers also inspected 9 commercial establishments, issuing only two fines for violations of the Highway Code. These checks are part of a broader strategy that will continue in the coming days with the aim of enhancing the citizens’ sense of security and ensuring a consistent presence of law enforcement in the Mantova area.
