Castelnuovo del Garda Becomes Debt-Free After Paying Off All Loans
Castelnuovo del Garda’s Town Council approved on May 21 the full extinction of the remaining municipal loans, totaling about €205,000, achieving a zero-debt status for the municipality. The move is said to strengthen investment capacity and prevent costs from being passed to future generations, placing the town among a small group in the province, region, and country to reach this result.
Mayor Davide Sandrini called the resolution a “choice of responsibility toward future generations,” noting that the early repayment reflects prudent resource management and was adopted at the May 21 council meeting, with formal action by the City Council and official Municipal communication.
