Castiglione Announces Police and Technical Staff Recruitment Competitions
The administration has decided to ban three public competitions for equal number of full-time positions within the municipal offices. Notices for interested applicants have already been posted publicly, and those interested must submit their applications by 12 p.m. on June 13. The competition for the recruitment of a municipal police officer is highlighted.
Municipal Police Recruitment and Activities
For some time, the Commander of the Municipal Police, Aldo Aresti, has been requesting reinforcement of the staff, which has remained at nine units. In 2000, over 4,000 tickets were issued, 36 vehicles were seized, 926 residency changes were processed, and there have been escorts for exceptional loads and funeral processions, inspections of construction sites, artisanal practices, property transfers, and family reunifications.
The activity of the municipal police is substantial, and the regulations specify a number of officers higher than the current strength in Castiglione. The competition, which will be held between July 30 and August 6, will finally increase the force to ten officers.
Technical Hires and the Ecology Sector
Then, a surveyor will be hired at Palazzo Gonzaga on a temporary basis for the technical area, which is currently still undergoing reorganization. After the appointment of the responsible architect Fortini, the situation has significantly improved, but some gaps remain.
The exam for the surveyor will take place between July 9 and 18. Finally, between July 11 and 19, the competition will be held for a full-time position as Ecology Sector Technician, a role recently vacated and currently occupied by a employee hired on a fixed-term contract.
