Castiglione delle Stiviere: From June 26, CastiglionEstate Returns With Free Concerts and Shows
Castiglione delle Stiviere will host the free “CastiglionEstate” programme from June 26 to August 30, 2026, with cultural and music events across courtyards, parks and main squares in the historic centre. The series is curated and led by professor Stefano Maffizzoni and will take place in venues including the courtyard of Palazzo Pastore, Parco Desenzani, Piazza Ugo Dallò and Piazza San Luigi, combining music with local history, art and landscape.
The event is split into two main sections: “Suoni dal Mondo”, held at the courtyard of the “A. Sigurtà” Library in Via Ascoli 31, and the VI Festival Tribute & Cover Band, scheduled for August across Parco Desenzani, Piazza Ugo Dallò and Piazza San Luigi (all starting at 9:30 pm). “Suoni dal Mondo” opens on June 26 at 9:00 pm at the Teatro Sociale with “Scaramouche: Piazzolla, Gershwin and Milhaud”, followed by dates including July 4 (blues with Lebron Johnson), July 11 (Pinocchio in music), July 18 (Kramer Project), July 25 (Il Mago Casanova), August 1 (Virtuosistic Spirit), August 8 (Di tanti palpiti), August 15 (Italian film soundtracks), August 22 (From Baroque to Rock – from Tartini to Queen) and August 30 (Barbara De Rossi in “Made in Italy”). The tribute festival features Older Band (George Michael & Wham) on August 2, Philmania Band (Phil Collins & Genesis) on August 9, The One Band (Elton John) on August 16 and Virgin Band (Madonna) on August 23. The initiative is supported by the local administration, with councillor Massimo Lucchetti highlighting the quality of the programme and Mayor Enrico Volpi stressing the goal of bringing people together through free music.
