A severe downpour hit Castiglione delle Stiviere yesterday, causing significant disruptions and damage. The torrential rains turned the streets in the town center and its districts into raging torrents, paralyzing traffic and creating considerable difficulties for residents. Water overflowed the sidewalks, flooding roads, basements, garages, and homes, forcing several businesses to cease operations.
The most affected areas include Gozzolina, Grole, and the industrial zone, where numerous interventions were required from the Fire Brigade and law enforcement agencies. Many people were trapped in their homes or on the streets during the downpour, necessitating assistance from rescue services.
