Castiglione Heritage Tours Launch to Explore Local History and Landmarks
“The Eyes on Castiglione.” This is the title of an initiative by the comune library, aimed at showcasing the territory and monuments of the town of Aloisio to many residents who know little about the place where they live.
As stated in the promotional brochure, it is a journey tracing the developments that have shaped the community.
Paths that, between land and water, contributed to the formation of local history. The scheduled events are three, beginning tonight at 6 PM in the conference room of Palazzo Pastore.
Details of the Events
The coordinators of the initiative, Maurizio Froldi, Angelo Gandini, and Piervittorio Rossi, will hold an introductory meeting and a presentation to help attendees better understand the event.
Tomorrow, the focus shifts to field experience. At 3 PM, starting from the library garden, there will be a walking tour from Castiglione to Grole, led by Angelo Gandini, an expert in the moraine environment and an enthusiastic nature lover.
On Saturday the 26th, also at 3 PM, starting from Palazzo Pastore, there will be a guided walking tour through the historic center of Aloisio. This time, the guides will be Maurizio Froldi and Piervittorio Rossi, local history scholars with a passion for anecdotes.
Activities for Youth and Free Participation
Participation is free of charge. On both tomorrow and Saturday the 26th, the treasure hunt “Discover Your City” will also take place, organized by the municipal Department of Tourism and reserved for second-cycle elementary and middle school students.
