The mountain festival at the Madonnina dei Sentieri will take place on Sunday, July 20, at Bocca di Caplone, located at an altitude of 1,745 meters, on the border between Brescia and Trento. The event is accessible via a one-hour walk from the village of Magasa and celebrates the statue of the Blessed Virgin, inaugurated in 1998 in memory of the missionary Father Faustino Cimarolli. Each year, the festival brings together the communities of the Brescia and Trento valleys, creating a moment of sharing and tradition.
The program includes a mass at 11 a.m. officiated by Peruvian missionary Jesus Navarro at the Madonnina, followed by the opening of the food stand at noon, where local specialties such as sandwiches, grilled sausages, polenta cùsa, and Tombea cheese will be available. It is advisable to bring extra food and drinks as attendance can be difficult to predict. The event is organized with the support of the Pro loco of Magasa and Valvestino, with proceeds donated to the Congregation of the Giuseppini Missionaries.
