Cavaion Veronese is preparing to commemorate two significant anniversaries in March 2025: the **80th anniversary of the four executed** and the **100th anniversary of the founding of the Cavaion Alpine Group**. These events, scheduled to take place from March 27 to 30, represent an important moment for the local community, merging historical memory with alpine tradition.

The program of celebrations is filled with initiatives designed to engage citizens and local schools.

## Educational Activities

On Thursday, March 27, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, students from the third grade of the “G. Fracastoro” middle school will participate in a tour of significant monuments in the area, deepening their understanding of the history related to the executions.

## Stories and Traditions

On Friday, March 28, at the Civic Hall of Sega at 8:30 PM, there will be an evening dedicated to the presentation of the book “The Four Boys Executed,” written by Rino Pio Accordini. This meeting will provide an opportunity to reflect on local history in conjunction with the centenary of the Cavaion Alpine Group. The evening will conclude with a communal risotto meal, creating a convivial moment for all participants.

## Official Ceremony

On Saturday, March 29, a special event is scheduled at the Church of Cavaion at 8:30 PM, featuring a performance by the Coro La Preara of Caprino dedicated to the commemorative date and to Lieutenant of the Alpini, Adelino Pizzini MVM.

The day will culminate on Sunday, March 30, with the official ceremony in Cavaion Square and at the Palasport. At 9:30 AM, there will be a gathering at the Palasport on Viale della Rimembranza, followed by the raising of the flag and honors to the fallen in front of the church square at 10:00 AM. Subsequently, at 10:15 AM, a parade will take place along Via 27 Marzo.

At 11:00 AM, a Holy Mass will be celebrated on Monte San Michele by the sectional chaplain, Don Rino Massella, accompanied by the San Gaetano and San Giovanni Battista Choir of Cavaion. Finally, a communal lunch will be held at the Palasport at 1:00 PM.

## Local Collaborations

The celebrations will be supported by several local associations, including Pro Loco San Michele, CTG El Preon, and the Mediolago Civil Protection.
