The CentoMiglia, a historic sailing regatta held on the waters of the lake, is back in the spotlight with the announcement of its 75th edition, scheduled to take place in Gargnano on September 6 and 7, 2025. This event, regarded as the longest-running offshore regatta on inland waters in Italy, will feature significant innovations, such as the introduction of the ORC regulations for the overall ranking, making the competition fairer and more accessible to all vessels. Registrations are already open online, inviting all sailing enthusiasts to participate.
In addition to the sporting events, attendees will enjoy an engaging experience on land, with video links from the racecourse and cultural activities such as film screenings. The event not only celebrates the sailing tradition of Lake Garda but also aims to serve as an important opportunity to promote the region and attract tourists. With the goal of further enhancing future participation, there are considerations to move the 76th edition to September 12-13, 2026, to avoid overlaps with other youth sporting events.
