Centomiglia Regatta Returns to National Lotteries Circuit on Lake Garda

The Centomiglia, the most important and busiest offshore regatta on Lake Garda, has returned to the National Lotteries circuit. It has been included in the list of summer events scheduled for August.

Participation Details and History

The Comunità del Garda requested its inclusion. The sailing competition, organized by the Circolo Vela Gargnano with nearly a thousand sailboats of various cruising classes participating, was already associated in 1991 and 1995 with the draw for billion-lire prizes. At that time, it was a success not only sportingly but also mainly promotional for the entire Garda area.

Economic Impact and Course

This year, the success is guaranteed again. There is also an economic benefit, around one hundred million euros, expected from the sale of the thousands of tickets for the Lottery. The Centomiglia will also extend to Alto Garda with a course buoy placed in the Golfo Torbolano.
