Centomiglia Sailing Race and Vittoriale Season Highlight Riviera dei Limoni
The Centomiglia sailing race and the “Vittoriale season” become the flagship events of the “Riviera dei Limoni”. This was announced by the officials of the Consortium of operators of the area, which is represented by the Parco Alto Garda Bresciano, from Salò to Limone.
Led by President Franceschino Risatti, they met with the organizers of the Circolo Vela del Medio Garda. The meeting, hosted at the Club House in Bogliaco, was attended by the tourism councilor of the Province of Brescia, the mayor of Gargnano, the president of the Gargnano merchants association, the councilor of Comunità del Garda, and the president of Cvg.
Television accolades and international promotion
For the Centomiglia, this marks a new recognition following the successful television broadcasts during the special segment aired on the worldwide networks of the Murdoch Group, within the “WaterWorld Sport” program. The special was broadcast in the USA on “Foxsport”, in Asia on “Star Tv”, in Japan on JSkyB, and in England on “Sky Sport 2”.
Another special was scheduled in October by the German Ntv channel, while in September, additional footage was offered by Zdf, the Austrian TV, and the Hungarian MTV. It is worth noting that this TV promotion was also carried out in collaboration with regattas organized by Circolo Vela Torbole.
The same interest was observed on the Internet, with over 15 million visits thanks to the official regatta website and the sailing federation portal, accessed daily by nearly 3 million enthusiasts.
The Circolo Vela Gargnano calendar
The Circolo Vela Gargnano also unveiled its new calendar, starting with an event on April 7-8. The Parco Alto Garda Trophy will take place alongside the “Skiffestival” sailing events.
From June 13 to 17, the “13th Pedrini Centomiglia Cup” is scheduled, a Grade 1 event in the America’s Cup circuit, which has seen participation from the two Italian Cup teams, the famous “Luna Rossa” and the new “Mascalzone Latino”.
The Wartime and Centomiglia races on the entire lake are expected to take place in August and on September 15.
