A check conducted by the carabinieri of Desenzano del Garda, in collaboration with the Labor Inspectorate of Brescia, revealed serious irregularities at a restaurant-lounge bar located in the Rivoltella district. The inspection, carried out in the late afternoon of Wednesday, August 20, uncovered the presence of an employee working without a contract and a non-EU worker lacking a residence permit. In addition to these labor violations, safety issues were also identified, such as the absence of health surveillance and the lack of mandatory training for staff.
The identified irregularities resulted in significant fines totaling over 19,000 euros. Authorities also noted that the surveillance system had been installed without the necessary permits. This intervention underscores the importance of targeted inspections in the restaurant sector to ensure compliance with current regulations and the protection of workers’ rights.
