Checks on Unregistered Employment and the Employment of Minors: Two Establishments Fined in Sirmione and Desenzano. Recently, law enforcement carried out a significant operation in the municipalities of Sirmione and Desenzano del Garda aimed at combating irregular employment. During the inspections, which involved agents from the local police station, the Financial Police, and municipal police, 9 public establishments, 40 vehicles, and 112 individuals were checked. At the conclusion of the inspections, five mandatory expulsion orders were issued for irregular non-EU citizens, along with two oral warnings for individuals deemed socially dangerous.
During the operation, the Financial Police fined a public establishment in Sirmione for employing two workers who were not regularly hired. Additionally, another venue in Desenzano faced a hefty fine exceeding 6,000 euros for hiring a 16-year-old as a bartender without a contract. Authorities also identified violations related to the failure to inform the minor about health and safety regulations at work.
