Children’s Rights Event Highlights in Mondolandia and Milan

The event will take place on Friday, November 16th, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, “Something for Us. The Days on Children’s Rights in Mondolandia”, at the Center on via Kennedy.

Event Program

There will be a screening of a video in which the children will share what it meant for them to choose a right and adopt it, along with a meeting with pupils and students forming the Giovani Consiglio Comunale (Youth City Council).

The inaugural session of the Council was held at the end of the last school year in the council chamber.

Organizers and Context

Organized by Comune, Servizi Sociali, Cooperativa Alce Nero, which manages the Mondolandia center, and Consiglio Comunale dei Ragazzi (Youth City Council), the initiative is part of the program of events that, at the territorial level, prepare for the II Regional Day for Children’s and Adolescents’ Rights.

This event is scheduled for November 20th in Milan, featuring seminars, conferences, exhibitions, and workshops aimed at young children.

National Context and Focus of the Edition

It was established last year, in conjunction with the World Day promoted by the United Nations.

The current edition will focus on the tenth anniversary of Italy’s ratification of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and Adolescents.

This convention was signed in New York by the United Nations General Assembly on November 20, 1989.
