The Municipality of Gargnano has unveiled the official calendar of events for the Christmas holidays. Titled “The Magic of Christmas,” the town on the Lake Garda is set to experience a vibrant month of festivities starting from December 6 and concluding on January 6, 2026. The program, organized by the Department of Tourism, Sports, and Commerce, features a rich lineup of music, entertainment, and performances that will enliven the historic center and its surrounding areas. Family Events and the Anticipation of Santa Lucia One of the highlights will be on December 8 with “Waiting for the Magic of Christmas,” which will animate the Cloister of San Francesco and the square starting at 2:30 PM. Among the scheduled events are the roaming show “Loco Motive,” featuring soap bubbles and flying vehicles, and the “Cadillac Circus.” The day will culminate at 5:00 PM with the Lighting of the Christmas Lights, followed by the “Santa Lucia Arrives” event in the square at 5:30 PM. The traditional gift distribution for children will continue on December 9. For lovers of local products, the “Winter Lemon Groves and Quality Market” will return. This event will take place at the Cloister of the Church of San Francesco on December 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21. Concert Schedule Music will be a fundamental part of the festivities. It kicks off on December 7 in Bogliaco, at the Parish Church of San Pier d’Agrino, with “The Jubilee Concerts,” featuring the Choir “Il Fabbriciere” and the Schola Cantorum Lacus of Gargnano. On December 14, the highlight will be the Gospel Concert at the Oratorio Papa Giovanni Paolo II. The Christmas Concert will take place at the Church of Solaia on December 21. The Castellani Hall will host the “Gaudete” concert on December 27, followed by the event “Once Upon a Time Morricone” on December 28. The celebrations will conclude on January 6, also at the Castellani Hall, with the “Epiphany Concert” presented by the G. Verdi Band of Toscolano-Maderno. Theatrical Performances and Screenings The cultural program will open on December 6 at the Castellani Hall with “The Nutcracker Fairy Tale,” an event that combines ballet and storytelling. On December 14, the same venue will host “Christmas Forever,” presented by the Academy Gospel Ensemble. There will be several family-oriented events, including theatrical performances such as “Christmas in… Song” (December 23) and “Romeo and Juliet, A Fairy Tale of Love” (January 4), both taking place at the Castellani Hall. Additionally, there will be film screenings: the cinema hall “Il Teatrino” will feature “A Christmas Carol” (December 23) and “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” (December 30), while the Castellani Hall will showcase Disney animated films “Elio” (December 20) and “Lilo & Stitch” (January 5).
