The Committee to Maintain the Hospital of Desenzano on Montecroce expresses strong discontent towards local administrators, accusing the mayors of silence and the Region of a lack of transparency in the decision-making process. The main criticism is directed at Luisa Lavelli, the mayor of Sirmione and president of the Assembly of Mayors of Area 11, who has yet to convene a meeting with the Committee representatives despite promises made over 45 days ago.
The Committee emphasizes that without an adequate public discussion, the future of the new hospital will be decided without considering the opinions of citizens, who have already expressed their opposition to the construction through a petition signed by over 8,000 people.
