On April 12 and 13, 2025, Gargnano will host the eighth edition of Giardini d’Agrumi, an event dedicated to exploring the historic lemon groves of the area. Visitors will have access to 24 lemon groves, where citrus fruits are still cultivated according to centuries-old traditions, thanks to the dedication of enthusiasts and volunteers. The event is organized by the association Terre & Sapori d’Alto Garda in collaboration with the Municipality of Gargnano and other local organizations, aiming to enhance this unique heritage.
During the event, exhibitions will also take place at the Cloister of San Francesco, featuring a pomological display with over 50 varieties of citrus fruits and a photographic exhibition on the history of the lemon groves. Visitors can follow historical routes through the streets of Quarcina, Crocefisso, and San Giacomo, leading to Bogliaco, while exploring historic gardens such as that of the Bettoni-Cazzago palace. Additionally, local restaurants and bars will offer themed menus, and educational workshops and musical performances are planned to enrich the experience for participants.
