Desenzano del Garda has inaugurated the “Civico D-26,” a new space dedicated to social inclusion, located at 26 Tiepolo Street, on the morning of yesterday, Monday, May 26. This property, previously confiscated from organized crime, has been repurposed thanks to a project by the Social Cooperative La Mongolfiera and will host a daytime service for educational support and assistance for individuals with disabilities. The initiative aims to promote autonomy and quality of life through personalized educational modules, social inclusion internships, and support activities for home care.
During the opening ceremony, Mayor Guido Malinverno emphasized the importance of Civico D-26 as a symbol of rebirth and justice for the community. The center is aimed at individuals with disabilities up to the age of 64 who require specific support, offering flexible services ranging from home education to occupational therapy workshops. The project also includes ongoing support for families and caregivers, with the goal of ensuring a stimulating and safe environment for all users involved.
