The Canottieri Garda Salò triumphed in the Trofeo Claudio 2025, which took place over the weekend in the waters of Campione del Garda. The competition, organized by Univela Sailing with the support of the Lombardy Region, featured 14 teams from across Italy, engaged in over 160 match races under challenging weather conditions. After two days of intense battles, the Salò team, led by coach Marco Baruzzi, distinguished itself by securing a place in the final against the Circolo Velico di Ostia. This year’s edition had a strong connection to the local community, enhanced by the presence of Claudio Brighenti’s children, who awarded the winners alongside local authorities. The success of Canottieri Garda Salò highlights the region’s significance in the national sailing competition landscape and sets the stage for the upcoming European Championship for the Optimist Class, which will be held in 2026 at Univela Campione del Garda.
