Starting from January 20, the “San Zeno” Gallery in Lonato will close for safety upgrades and adjustments. This closure will last for a continuous period of three months, followed by a nine-month period during which the interruption will only affect nighttime hours, from 8:00 PM to 7:00 AM. During this work, heavy traffic will be encouraged to use the highway; however, an increase in traffic is expected on Via Mazzardi and in the Barcuzzi area, leading to inconveniences for drivers.
The gallery is one of the main routes connecting Desenzano and Brescia, as well as a strategic access point for the municipalities of Valtenesi. Its closure will inevitably cause traffic issues, as it is a crucial point for access to the highway from Barcuzzi. Users are advised to plan alternative routes to minimize disruptions during this extended period of construction.
