In Riva del Garda, between today and Saturday, the first edition of the Swan Lake Garda Challenge will take place, an international sailing event that marks the debut of the ClubSwan 28 in inland waters. This event, part of the ClubSwan Racing Nations League, will see eight boats from seven nations competing in a contest that promises to be thrilling and fiercely contested. The team from Fraglia Vela Riva, led by Fausto Maroni, will collaborate with PRO Bill O’Hara to ensure excellent organization of the event.
Currently leading the overall Nations League standings is Marcello (FRA), followed by Play Bigger (USA) and Swing (JPN). Among the participants will also be the boats Anya (ITA), Black Swan (MON), Hatari (GER), and Isabella (GER), while Fra Martina will make its debut in the ClubSwan 28 fleet. Federico Michetti from Nautor Swan emphasized the significance of bringing a fleet to Lake Garda, highlighting how these events can offer unique racing conditions. Andrea Camin, president of Fraglia Vela Riva, expressed pride in hosting this prestigious one-design event and stated his readiness to make the experience memorable despite the uncertainties of the weather.
