Cocaine Bust in Peschiera: 28-Year-Old Arrested on the A4

Italian police have arrested a 28-year-old man from Como after finding nearly 12 kilograms of cocaine hidden in his car in Peschiera del Garda. The arrest took place during a roadside stop on the A4 motorway, where officers discovered the drugs concealed in two double-bottom compartments in the vehicle’s body, operated through an electronic system.

The stop was expanded after the driver appeared agitated and officers noticed wiring connected to the battery that did not match the original setup. A search revealed two secret compartments—one behind the dashboard radio and another under the front passenger seat—containing 10 blocks of cocaine. Police seized the car, two mobile phones, and €990 in cash; after the arrest was validated, a judge ordered pretrial detention in prison on charges of possession for the purpose of drug dealing.
