The COLNAGO CYCLING FESTIVAL 2024 kicked off with a day filled with sports and adventure. The event was inaugurated by the Randonnée, a special tour around Lake Garda, followed by the first Colnago Gravel of the weekend in the “Terra del Garda.” Athletes rode along the lake’s shores, starting and finishing in Desenzano del Garda.
Gravel cyclists, on the other hand, tackled a 75.7 km route through the picturesque landscapes of the Brescia countryside. It was an experience suitable for everyone, to be tackled independently or with the guidance of the Angel Passion guides. The Colnago Gravel will continue on Saturday, April 6th, with the second route through the “Sentieri della Battaglia” (Battle Trails).
The celebration of the Colnago Cycling Festival continued in the heart of Desenzano, with the opening of the Expo area where the event’s sponsor brands set up exhibition stands with news and promotions dedicated to participants.
Tomorrow, Saturday, April 6th, there will be even more to experience. The Colnago Gravel “Sentieri della Battaglia” guided by champion Paolo Savoldelli will start at 9:30 am. In the afternoon, the race numbers for the Granfondo Colnago and Colnago Gravel will be distributed, followed by the Colnago Family, an 18 km route dedicated to families. The entire proceeds from the Colnago Family registrations will be donated to the Casa Ronald McDonald in Brescia.
For the younger ones, there will also be the Junior Bike, a route designed specifically for young cyclists. Finally, at 10:00 pm, a fireworks show on the shores of Lake Desenzano will bring the Colnago Cycling Festival to a beautiful close.
