On July 27 at 9:00 PM, the Courtyard of the Palazzo Pastore in Castiglione delle Stiviere will host a unique event that celebrates the fusion of music, poetry, and dance, inspired by the works of Federico Garcia Lorca. This concert, conceived and coordinated by guitarist Andrea Candeli, will take the audience on an emotional journey through the songs and poetic compositions of the renowned Spanish author.
A Musical Journey in Garcia Lorca’s Andalusia
The event aims to serve as a musical itinerary that will guide spectators in discovering the archetypal figures evoked by Lorca, such as the “gypsy” and the “torero.” The guitar will be the central element, accompanying the audience on a path rich in intense emotions. The selected melodies are infused with vibrant local colors, reflecting the multiple shades of pain, always intertwined with love and death. The poet’s work remains shrouded in existential questions that go unanswered.
Andalusian Folk Tradition
The project also seeks to explore the Andalusian folk tradition, highlighting how this culture is imbued with deep emotions. The artists involved will offer an artistic interpretation of the gypsy Andalusia, characterized by simple yet meaningful elements. The intent is to trace a historical-musical thread that pays homage to a tradition that is both rich and still relatively unknown.
The Artists on Stage
Joining Andrea Candeli in the realization of the show will be:
- Chiara Guerra – dance
- Michele Serafini – flute
- Corrado Ponchiroli – singing and cajon
In case of adverse weather conditions, the event will take place at the Teatro Sociale. Admission is free, allowing everyone interested to participate in this celebration of Spanish culture in the heart of Lake Garda.
