Cornuda Launches Social Support Project for Elderly and Disabled

On June 9, 1996, an agreement was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved several representatives from local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will have a duration of two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European Union funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Additionally, social transportation services will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for those involved, also creating opportunities for community gathering and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting these initiatives by ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved components.
