Cornuda Launches Two-Year Social Support Project for Elderly and Disabled

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Participants included local political and social forces, among them the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European Union funds.

Planned activities and objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and enhance the quality of life for the involved individuals, creating opportunities for community engagement and solidarity among citizens.

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by providing surveillance and coordination services among the various involved entities.
