Start of the Convention and Participants
On early June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for signing a project in favor of the most vulnerable social groups. The operation was attended by some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which will last two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded with regional and European community funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization activities for the weaker groups. Additionally, social transportation will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
