Cornuda Social Support Initiative Enhances Vulnerable Residents’ Lives
Cornuda Agreement
On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces attended the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total allocated funds for the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European community funds.
Planned activities and objectives
The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project seeks to promote social integration and improve the quality of life for those involved, creating opportunities for meetings and solidarity among citizens.
Role of institutions and associations
The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.
Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation of the local community.
Overall, the agreement represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at safeguarding and improving the quality of life for the most vulnerable individuals.
