Cornuda Social Support Initiative Promotes Inclusion with €100K Funding

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the Municipality. The total funding allocated for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.

Activities Planned and Objectives

The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the people involved, also creating opportunities for social interaction and solidarity among citizens.

Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has committed itself to supporting the initiatives by ensuring supervision services and coordination among the various involved components.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation of the local community.
