Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Elderly and Disabled Inclusion
Agreement in Cornuda
On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Participating in the operation were some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives from the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the Municipality. The total allocated funds for the implementation of the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and community funds.
Planned Activities and Goals
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.
The Role of Institutions and Associations
The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved components.
Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
