Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Elderly and Disabled Inclusion

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative’s implementation is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, creating opportunities for social interaction and solidarity among residents.

Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by providing surveillance and coordination services among the involved components.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation of the local community.
