Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Elderly & Disabled Well-Being

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the Municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and European Union funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project intends to promote social inclusion and enhance the quality of life of the people involved, creating opportunities for community interaction and solidarity.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the involved components.
