Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Elderly Well-Being with €100K Funding

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by several representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the Municipality. The total funding allocated for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European Union funds.
Planned Activities and Objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Additionally, social transportation will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.
The Role of Institutions and Associations
The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring security services and coordination among the various involved entities.
Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.
