Cornuda Social Support Project: Enhancing Quality of Life for Vulnerable Groups

Cornuda Convention

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved some representatives from local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various voluntary organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total allocated funds for implementing the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.

Planned activities and objectives

The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization opportunities for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for participants, also creating moments of encounter and solidarity among citizens.

Role of institutions and associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring security services and coordination among the various involved components.

Voluntary organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active community participation.

Overall, the convention represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at safeguarding and enhancing the quality of life of the more vulnerable people.
