Cornuda Social Support Project Launches with €100K Funding

Cornuda Convention

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of seniors and disabled residents in the municipality. The total allocated funding for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.

Planned activities and objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for disadvantaged groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the people involved, creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among residents.

The role of institutions and associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by providing surveillance services and coordinating among the various involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.

Overall, the convention represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens, aimed at safeguarding and enhancing the quality of life for the most vulnerable individuals.
