On early June 1996, an agreement was signed in the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for a project aimed at supporting the most disadvantaged social groups. Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the operation, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and funding
The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the Municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded with regional and European Community funds.

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the weaker groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers established.
