Cornuda Social Support Project Promotes Inclusion & Community Engagement
Agreement in Cornuda
On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last for two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the Municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and community funds.
Planned Activities and Objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.
The Role of Institutions and Associations
The municipal administration has pledged its commitment to support the initiatives by ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved components.
Volunteer organizations will have a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
