On the beginning of June 1996, an agreement was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for signing a project in support of the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative amounts to about one hundred thousand euros, funded with regional and European Union funds.
